Risuke ; Reschedule.

「リスケ」(risuke) is shorthand for リ・スケジュール and means to reschedule. In the business setting, it is often used to make adjustments in schedules such as meeting date/times. The term is also used when altering deadlines due to changes in designs or specifications. In the financial industry, it is used to mean “changes in repayment plans.”

The term is an abbreviated one and does not have a positive connotation because efforts to make adjustments are involved. As such, it is not a word to be used with clients or superiors.  Use this word only within the company or among colleagues.

例：急な出張が入ったため、明日の打ち合わせをリスケさせてください。

例：新たな機能を追加するので、納期をリスケしましょう。
