上流工程 じょうりゅうこうてい Jyouryu Koutei (Upstream Process)
In the IT field, the upstream process refers to the process of conceptualization and planning, such as defining requirements and design, in the development of information systems and software. In some cases, the decision-making process before the start of development, such as system planning, is also included.
例:上流工程でミスが発生すると、以降の工程全てに影響が出てしまいます。
If a mistake occurs in the upstream process, all subsequent processes will be affected.
