The company Attain, which manages an e-learning site for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), announced on October 19th that it will be adding support for 6 new languages to its course “JLPT Study for Foreigners.”
The site currently offers subtitles for its videos in English, Chinese, and Vietnamese. It will also add subtitles for Korean, Thai, and Indonesian speakers, with plans for Khmer (Cambodian), Burmese, and Nepali in the future.
Attain created completely original content for its JLPT course, which focuses on speaking, listening, reading, and writing for levels from beginner to advanced. Course levels are divided according to the levels of the JLPT. Currently the site offers both intro and kanji courses, which can be used to prepare for the test.
The company also runs the site “Attain Online Japanese” where for a monthly fee of 980 yen you can view all of the levels for its JLPT Study Course as much as you want during your subscription.
Many companies in Japan require candidates to have at least level N2 on the JLPT, so passing the test can improve your chances of finding a job. Attain’s site is an excellent way for those who want to study for the test in their spare time to take their Japanese to the next level.
