On April 18, Japan External Trade Organization （JETRO） that operates a portal site for promoting highly-skilled foreign professionals has launched its English site, Open for Professionals.
The target audience of this site is highly-skilled foreign professionals who wish to work in Japan. With an additional service to the site, companies can now post their information in both Japanese and English. Therefore, foreign talents can get information on companies interested in hiring highly-skilled foreigners including foreign students. Moreover, initiatives taken by respective prefectures for promoting highly-skilled foreign professionals and a list of information on consultation services are provided on the site.
The Japanese version of this site has been operational since December 2018. As a part of “platform for promoting highly-skilled foreign talent,” aimed to promote skilled foreign resources in Japan, the policies for skilled foreign professionals issued by the related government ministries and information regarding upcoming events have been shared.
Highly-skilled persons looking for a professional job in Japan are encouraged to explore the resources available through “Open for Professionals.”
