Japan and Vietnam to cooperate to protect specified skilled workers

On July 1, the Government of Japan and the Government of Socialist Republic of Viet Nam signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) on a basic framework for the proper operation of the system pertaining to foreign human resource with the new residence status of “Specified Skilled Worker.”

The MoC includes the following basic frameworks for information sharing and consultation in order to smoothly and properly send and accept specified skilled workers, in particular the elimination of malicious intermediary organizations, and to resolve the related problems.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan will enhance the mutual benefits of both countries through cooperation for proper operation of the system, cooperating with the relevant ministries and agencies of Japan.
